Dancehall artist Ding Dong, born Kemar Christopher Dwaine Ottey on September 29, 1980, has been a prominent figure in the Jamaican music scene since the early 2000s. Initially gaining fame with his breakout single “Bad Man Forward / Bad Man Pull Up” in 2005, Ding Dong transitioned from a dancer to a deejay and dancehall recording artist. He is also the founder of the renowned dance crew, Ravers Clavers, which has significantly influenced dancehall culture.

At the 16th annual MoBay Jerk and Food Festival, held on Emancipation Day at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay, Ding Dong delivered a high-energy set that captivated the audience. Performing hits like “Badman Fawud Badman Pull Up,” “Happiness,” and “Good Ting Dem,” he engaged with the crowd by leaving the stage and mingling with fans. His spontaneous interaction included inviting several young dancers onstage for a dance-off, showcasing his commitment to nurturing emerging talent. Impressively, Ding Dong rewarded the best young dancer with a cash prize, further emphasizing his support for the next generation of artists.

As a member and founder of the Ravers Clavers, Ding Dong has been instrumental in popularizing dancehall culture both locally and internationally.
